Reasons Your Dog NEEDS A Shirt
1) The reason we came up with this hair brained idea, if they have wounds they shouldn’t be lickin’, a dog shirt is a better alternative to a big neck cone.
2) Shirts have a calming effect on dogs. It’s a great idea for events you know are going to stress your pooch out i.e. vet visits, crowded places, traveling etc.
3) Warmth!! Our shirts aren’t as warm as sweaters, but they’re way funnier and do help with the chilly weather.
4) To strut their stuff. Seriously, some breeds love being dressed because of the attention it gives them. They know they look good.

NOTES FOR PICKING THE RIGHT SIZE:
1) PLEASE USE THE CHEST GIRTH MEASUREMENT FOR MOST ACCURATE SIZING!!
- You can use our weight chart if you aren't sure or are buying a gift, but this is not always accurate. I.E. A tall, skinny dog and short, pudgy dog may weigh the same but they will wear different sizes of shirts because their chests are different sizes. Cool? Thanks!!
2) IF YOU ARE UP IN THE AIR ABOUT TWO DIFFERENT SIZES, GO WITH THE BIGGER ONE!!
- The dog shirts run a bit small for a firm fit. Also, they won't lose elasticity in the wash and become too loose and get in the way of male dogs...ahem...business.
3) IF YOUR DOG HAS A LOT OF HAIR AND IS NEARING ANOTHER SIZE LARGER...
- You may want to consider the next size up so the pooch is comfortable.
4) DOG SIZES XXS and 4XL AND HUMAN SIZES 2XL AND 3XL AVAILABLE THROUGH CUSTOM ORDER ONLY
- Please e-mail us through our contact us page or through the "out of your size?" box on each shirt page to let us know what you need. Please allow extra time to process this order as these sizes are not always readily available.
What's a chest girth? I'm just buying for a friend's dog... a little more help please.
See our sizing charts button at the top of the page. Here is a great reference tool for standard weight of a dog http://www.pgaa.com/CANINE/GENERAL/size.html. They have good sizing statistics. It's usually pretty accurate. Note: Some dogs may be larger or smaller than their breed standards because either someone feeds them too much or they are cute little runts of the litter.
Why are there no sleeves on the dog t-shirts?
No sleeves = maximum comfort for your dog. Sleeves just add more stitching and higher potential for your dog to be annoyed. It gives the pooch more mobility so it isn't too tight fitting in those little doggie armpits. Trust us, we took a phone survey of nearly 2500 dogs, and although we couldn't really understand them, we can only assume they all picked no sleeves.
What type of fabric does it take to make Waggish Apparel funny dog shirts?
Our sleeveless dog t-shirts are printed on 100% cotton rib knit fabric. It's minimally ribbed so it stretches just slightly to give a bit more comfort to your pooch.
What about Waggish's human shirts?
We proudly print on Gildan T-shirts for our human shoppers (yes, we expect your dogs to shop here too.) They are always 6.1 oz, 100% cotton shirts. You know, the touch, the feel of cotton.
Won't a boy dog pee on his shirt?
Check out these big words. Custom scallop cut belly helps avoid soiling and double stitch construction provides maximum durability. It means the top (dog's back) is longer than the bottom (dog's belly) so boy dog's don't pee on it. We checked out all the different types out there. These are the best to make quality dog shirts for all sizes of dog breeds.
Why do the bigger sizes cost more?
Dog shirts are just like human shirts. When the sizes start to use a lot of fabric, the cost increases. Our 2 biggest sizes are $2 more per shirt.
The Process
What is your printing process?
All of our designs are screen printed with plastisol ink to prevent cracking and wear and then replicated with heat transfers. We try to avoid Print on Demand process. It tends to produce a cheaper product that doesn't last as long. Think of it like an SAT question: Screen printing is to human years as Print on Demand is to dog years.
Speaking of Washing... Instructions, please?
The tag says machine wash warm because it is standard, but we recommend drying in the air Mother Nature provides to save a little energy. Or you can dry it on cool to avoid any shrinking and/or cracking. It helps your shirts live a longer, healthier life. Some folks even like to flip the shirts inside out to extend the life of the design. We like this idea.
Where do your shirts come from?
Our vendor gets all of the dog shirts from Thailand and China. Our human t-shirts come from Honduras.
Where is your printing done?
All screen printing is done in the USA.

Where are my confirmation and tracking e-mails?
Sometimes Waggish e-mails are simply too awesome for regular inboxes and they get forwarded to spam/junk folder. If they aren't there, then shoot us a contact message on our contact us page. We'll find out what the problem is ASAP.
What is Waggish Apparel's shipping policy?
We ship Via the USPS and try to use as much of their Cradle to Cradle eco-friendly packaging as possible. RECYCLE OR REUSE THEM PLEASE!!! We generally ship your order within 1-3 business days of the order date. You can select:
USPS Standard Shipping - 3-5 business days after processing - $5 for one item and $1.50 for each additional item
USPS Express Shipping - 1-2 business days after processing - $29.95 for the first item and $2.50 for each additional item
All sales and promotions offering free shipping are shipped via the USPS Standard Shipping method. Express mail is not an option for free shipping.
How do I get free shipping?
Two ways. Buy a matching set of dog and human shirts or buy 4 or more shirts. Then, we'll cover your shipping, dawg. These sales apply to domestic purchases only.
Can I track my packages?
Absolutely. You should get two emails from us. One when you place your order and one when your order ships with your tracking number. If you pay with Paypal, you will receive an extra e-mail from them as well. If you don't receive an email at any of these occasions, please visit www.waggish.com/contact and let us know. We'll fix it ASAP.
How do I return or exchange one of Waggish Apparel's funny dog shirts?
Unfortunately, we can’t take anything back that has been worn or used. That is why we ask that you PLEASE check the sizing chart and measure your dog so it is a comfortable fit when he/she sports the shirt. If you do have something that is unworn, and it is within 30 days of the day your purchase date, please print and fill out the return form
here according to the directions and include it with your return packaging. We’ll exchange your shirt for a different size, different shirt (of equal or lesser value), or refund your money, whichever you prefer. Unfortunately, we do have to charge a $3 restocking fee for all refunds. There is no restocking fee for exchanges. You should see your refund in 5-10 business days. Please allow 2-3 weeks for exchanges.
Does Waggish ship internationally?
Is the Pope Methodist? We mean no, we unfortunately don't ship internationally yet, but very soon.

Why did I get charged such a high sales tax rate?
Our company is incorporated in Chicago, IL. According to state law we must charge IL residents the sales tax rate associated with the city we are incorporated in, even for online companies. Chicago's sales tax rate is 10.25%.
I want to wear one of the designs you only offer in dog sizes!!!
Shoot us a request on our contact us page, and we’ll do our absolute best to make it happen. It all depends on inventory and availability. It could be a little extra time and cost too, but we promise, a funny dog t-shirt can be a funny human shirt too.
How can I recycle a Waggish T-Shirt?
Just like you recycle or reuse any other t-shirt. Make it a square on a quilt or use it to dust with. Hand it down to the younger canine siblings. Just don't throw it away... that would be such a 100% waste of 100% cotton. Simple things mom taught us, you know?
How can I recycle the Tyvek Envelope my shirt was shipped in?
There are some great organizations out there that recycle the Tyvek envelope material if your local recycling center doesn't accept it.
